The longest uninterrupted video call I have had was 42 minutes and some seconds. I use the built-in iSight on MBP. Since it worked right on install, not sure if you will find my experience of any value, but will be happy to help anyway. Oh, and iChat! That is a completely different story.

Basically, both he and I have downloaded Skype. He has his camera on right now. I have Skype open too. However, we cannot seem to initiate the video chat. I am using my built in iSight on my MBP. He has a webcam. For a fleeting moment, I was able to see him.
Since them, nothing. In the Skype help, it says to initiate the video chat with the other user you just click on the camera icon beside their name.but there is no camera icon. If your buddy is on-line, they have their camera on, how do you initiate the chat from your Mac and be able to see their video? We are so frustrated. IChat was a disaster with him (the pc user) but an absolute delight when I used it yesterday with my dad. We were on-line and seeing other immediately.
